This wonderful clinical text almost immediately became a go-to book in my library. Naturopathic doctor Neil McKinney shares a wealth of information from his own clinical practice in a useful and accessible way. Used in concert with the published work of Donnie Yance, Jonathan Treasure, John Boik and other solid oncology references as well as current research of the literature, this book provides a great resource of beneficial herbs and other concentrated nutrients to benefit a wide array of cancer presentations. His specificity by cancer type is extremely useful. McKinney could surely have used another pair of eyes on the manuscript to eliminate redundancies, but I am not complaining. This is obviously a labor of love from a practitioner dedicated to easing suffering and promoting the well-being of those faced with a cancer diagnosis.

Covers a lot of the subject but leaves out a lot of important information anti-cancer herbal treatments like Cannibis Oil, high doseage Neem leaf, high doseage Astragalus root, Laetrile/B17, hyperthermia, Liposomal Vitamin C, Drs Hoffer/Paulings study/treatment on Vitamins/Minerals/EFAs and cancer that will increase your survival time 500 %, and Sodium Dichloroacetate and how effective it really is. The active ingredient in Neem leaf has been turned into a patent drug in India and they expect in a few years time, no women in India will die of breast cancer due to Neem.

The Author makes some goofy statements about Cancer. It’s been shown baking soda inhibits metastasis of tumors, and oxygen therapy significantly improves the patients response to other standard modalities. Dr. Tullio Simoncini, an Italian oncologist, regularly treats his cancer patients with baking soda. In his experience, oral, intravenous. and aerosol delivery of sodium bicarbonate are effective in treatment of breast and prostate cancers as well as other types of cancer except for brain cancer.

Cannibis oil is in phase 1 trials for brain cancer in the UK, but DCA (Sodium Dichloroacetate) is a virtual cure. A patented more targeted version of DCA will be available in a few years. Cannibis oil, which has to have active management of the psychoactive effects (See Hoffer’s book on Orthomolecular Psychiatry) seems to be highly effective even at stage 4+ with chemo flunks outs starting at 60 grams over 90 days, or more. See the film ‘run from the cure’ for dosing info on Cannibis oil and cancer.

For people witj a science background , I can suggest Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: On the Origin, Management, and Prevention of Cancer 1st Editionby Thomas Seyfried to understand the correct diet for cancer patients, what is now called a Ketogenic diet, or for lay people, as Abram Hoffer developed the calorie restricted ketogenic diet, and called it Orthomolecular Nutrition, I suggest you read Hoffer’s book, ‘The New Orthomolecular Nutrition’. No meat (no iron), no sugar (cancer loves ), no milk (full of sugar and cals), no grains (especially wheat), limited intake of low glycemic fruits like blueberries, no processed foods, or artificial anything, no booze, etc. And a diet rich in leafy vegetables, and non starchy vegetables supplemented with some fish, avocados, nut butters, etc. Diet as recent studies show maybe the single most important determinant in your life’s struggle.

McKinney gets Kudos for writing this book, but needs to get his science more factual by reading up on Hoffer/Pauling and the latest findings on diet. McKinney could also benefit from reading Dr. Russell Blaylock’s book, ‘Natural Healing Strategies for Cancer’. He should also read, ‘Orthomolecular Medicine for Everyone’ and Healing Cancer, by Abram Hoffer, et al.

i am a pharmacist who has studied many non-traditional and/or non-main-stream cancer treatments.

for the ones i know, this text explains them in a manner that closely matches the guidelines i would provide to someone who asked me for advice – and several of these are therapies that have been highly suppressed.

to put it in quick perspective, i bought a copy for my personal physician.

i recommend taking a look at highly.
