UB Super Brings New Superfood Nutritional Shakes to Whole Foods on January 29

Wilmington, NC (PRWEB) January 29, 2015

Seven years ago on January 29, 2008, Scott Kanyok was on a 40-mile bike ride when he was hit by a box truck. Thrown from his bicycle, Kanyok suffered a fractured skull with subdural hematoma, compound fractured clavicle and scapula, fractured olecranon and six broken ribs. ICU doctors weren?t sure he would survive, but Kanyok bravely battled back to health. The nutritional discoveries he made while recovering inspired the creation of UB Super protein superfood nutritional shakes, which debuted this week in Whole Foods? southeast region stores.

Once Kanyok was discharged from ICU and underwent several surgeries to insert titanium plates and screws, six weeks later he began a grueling recovery regimen. Fast forward six months, devoting 15 hours per week to physical therapy the avid cyclist, runner and paddler overcame pain, vertigo and fatigue and returned to peak physical condition. But the accident had short circuited his immune system, and Kanyok was ill for seven of the first 12 months that followed.

In an effort to restore his immune system, Kanyok began eating superfoods such as acai, camu camu and acerola cherry with protein. To improve the combination of nutrients he needed for full recovery, he was introduced to Jason Mitchell, N.D. through his association with MetaBrand. Jason was formerly the Chief Science Officer for Country Life Vitamins and he assisted with the development of the UB Super formulations. After more than two years of trial and error, they combined 10 superfoods, organic vitamins, fulvic acid and minerals, prebiotics and probiotics with digestive enzymes, and 16 grams of complete vegan protein in the UB Super protein superfood nutritional shake. Kanyok?s company, UB Real, has since added a non-GMO grass fed whey protein shake option.

UB Super quickly gained a loyal following among elite athletes like SUP world champions Connor Baxter and Travis Grant and runner Tom Clifford. The product is also improving the wellness of what Kanyok calls ?regular people like me,? who have shared how UB Super increases energy levels, pre and post workout recovery, immune system support, reduces inflammation and helps promote healthy weight loss. A wider audience will now be able to purchase UB Super from Whole Foods stores.

?Who would?ve thought that consuming clean protein, organic vitamins from real fruits and vegetables, fulvic minerals and other earth-based nutrients would help people perform better?? Kanyok said. ?Whether you?re an Olympian, a librarian or anything in between, getting super fast real food is going to improve how you feel.?

Niles, IL (PRWEB) March 27, 2014

In its latest collection of unique gift basket designs, Thoughtful Presence has expanded its collection of baby gift baskets to include certified organic bath products from popular makers. Breganwood Organics and Green Envee Organics are the latest suppliers selected by Thoughtful Presence to create this new healthy baby collection. ?We are very selective in the types of products we put into all of our gift baskets. Quality and originality are our two most important criteria. We aim to be unique in design from other gift baskets in the market and we use only high quality products,? says Owner Mary Babiez.

While all spa and baby gift baskets from Thoughtful Presence have been made with natural bath products, Babiez recently discovered Breganwood Organics cotton towels and immediately loved the idea of moving to organic cotton as well as the unique jungle, rainforest, and woodland designs. Always on the lookout for new products that are eco and socially conscious, Babiez discovered Green Envee at the January Chicago Gift Market and was immediately impressed. ?I loved their men?s and women?s skincare line and was thrilled that they also offer a children?s care line, something I was specifically looking to expand.? Babiez promises they will continue to offer their all natural baby bath gift baskets featuring Homespun Naturals lavender baby line, but the new designs offer a fully organic option.

?We can never be everything to everyone, but the more we can provide consumers in the area of organic products, the more that is in line with our overall company mission. That is to provide unique gift basket designs with products that are of high quality, unique, environmentally, and socially conscious.?

Breganwood Organics certified organic cotton hooded towels are featured in Jungle Bath for boys and Sleepy Owl for girls, two of the new designs offered by Thoughtful Presence. Both of these designs will be available to ship on April 3rd. Green Envee Organics childcare line is made with pure oils of lavender and chamomile. Homespun Naturals products are scented with natural essential oils of lavender, palmarosa and clove; are paraben-free and handmade in the USA. IHYT?s New Faculty Member Brings Ayurvedic Knowledge and Healing Spirit to Yoga Therapy Training in Bali

(PRWEB) October 28, 2014

Integrated Health Yoga Therapy?s (http://www.ihyt.org/) exciting new 300/500 Hour Yoga Therapist Training in Bali starting in April 2015 (http://www.ihyt.org/#!level-1-therapist-bali/c222i) features a new faculty member, Dr. Kekada Sujatha, specializing in Ayurvedic medicine.

Dr. Sujatha is a certified Ayurvedic doctor (B.A.M.S.) and head physician at Amrtasiddhi, the Ayurveda and Yoga Health Centre in the city of Ubud (http://www.amrtasiddhi.com/). She completed her degree in Karnataka, India, and has consulted in Europe and at one of the top health retreats in Asia in addition to practicing at one of the most respected Ayurvedic clinics in Kerala, India. Kekada?s warm and caring attitude has combined with a wide range of Ayurvedic knowledge and experience to make her a profound facilitator of various healing experiences for many people. Her knowledge of Yoga, T?ai Chi, and meditation in addition to Ayurveda further enhance her contribution to IHYT?s holistic vision of healing through the mindful, conscientious, informed integration of numerous ancient traditions with modern science and medical practice.

Thousands of years old, Ayurveda is not only an ancient system of medicine but a science of life. It includes the use of plant-based medicines, diet, aromatherapy, massage, meditation, detoxification programs, and other treatments. Ayurveda begins, however, with its philosophical foundation of the 3 Doshas, the fundamental energies that govern mind, body, and spirit. In Sanskrit the Doshas are Vata (Wind), Pitta (Fire), and Kapha (Earth), and each of us has a unique balance and proportion of these 3 forces that shapes our character and forms who we are, our strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies. Most people have one or two of these forces in a dominant position. In addition to balance between the 3 Doshas, each one of the Doshas can find either balanced or imbalanced expression within our lives. For example, balanced Kapha or Earth results in a nurturing and grounded personality, but out-of-balance it may promote lethargy, obesity, and sinus congestion.

Ayurvedic practice begins with determining the ideal state of balance unique to the individual patient, then determining where the individual is out of balance and what treatments can help. Individual treatments may be aimed at individual conditions but from a holistic standpoint the ideal state of balance and complete health and wellbeing of the individual are always at the heart of Ayurvedic treatment.

Another main cause of dis-ease, in Ayurvedic tradition, is the build-up of toxins in the human body. The presence of toxins can result in low energy, digestive issues, and lack of mental alertness.

Dr. Kekada Sujatha and other IHYT faculty who are leaders in their respective fields (http://www.ihyt.org/#!faculty/cjg9) will be hosting the 300/500 Hour Yoga Therapy Training in Bali in two semesters beginning April 16-30 2015 and concluding October 17-30 2015. The training will take place at the lovely Bali Wellness Retreat in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, in the lush green hills outside Ubud with a stunning view of Bali?s sacred mountain, Mont Agung.
