US News & World Report?s breakdown of each diet shows that the top two diets listed, DASH and TLC, focus more on bettering health issues such as blood pressure and cholesterol rather than actually losing weight. A study on the Dukan Diet was conducted and presented during the Annual American College of Nutrition Conference this past October 2014 by Dr. Jay Udani, CEO of Medicus Research LLC and Medical Director of Northridge Hospital Integrative Medicine Program.
