    This is a good review of the tenets and the philosophy of vegetarian eating and the lifestyle that seems to occur as a result. The various types of vegetarians are identified, from strict to somewhat lenient and the scope of the foods they eat are identified. The book gives a good starting basis for someone trying to understand and start on the road to becoming a vegetarian. The important foods are covered as well as the way they are used in the various meals of the day.

    If you are looking for a good read on the vegetarian lifestyle, here is a good start. It gives a good foundation into the way non-meat foods can be used as the only components of the food one eats and suggests ways to get started with as little effort as possible.

    This is the perfect book for the absolute beginner, who has never looked into vegetarianism before. It gives a basic plan for starting the transition. There aren’t recipes but suggestions for the sorts of things you can eat. It is a quick read and will give a great overview of the vegetarian lifestyle.

    I personally do not follow a vegetarian diet. Nevertheless, I was really impressed when the author says “ It’s important to note that the best vegetarian diet is the one you choose for yourself.” I could not agree more! This set the tone of personalized vegetarianism for me.
